About the Founder
I am an experienced transition consultant and divorce recovery coach. I specialize in helping clients make a swift and smooth recovery from divorce. I am also a grief recovery coach. I am President of the Center for Stable Change, a transition consulting and coaching firm based in St. Paul, MN.
My book, Me? Change? Not Now, Not Ever!, details the first practical prescription for how to dissolve resistance to change for any major life transition, including divorce. I am also the author of Ten Steps to a Smooth Divorce Recovery, scheduled for release in 2009.
I received a Ph.D. from Yale University in Organizational Behavior and a BS and MBA from the University of Oklahoma. For 21 years, I was a professor of Organizational Behavior and Change at the University of Florida where I taught courses on how to manage change and life transitions. I am a graduate of Executive Coach Academy of New York City and of i-Coach New York's Professional Coaching Program. I am also a graduate of the Grief Recovery Specialist Program of the Grief Recovery Institute.
Personally, I have marched through a generous complement of life transitions including two early career changes, two divorces, two children, three stepchildren, mid-life career change, several geographical relocations, start-up business, and the illness and death of family and friends.
After living in New York City for over a decade, I now live in St. Paul, MN. Since 1993 I have been happily married to Broadway actress Melissa Hart.
My practice is dedicated to returning my clients to life's mainstream with renewed hope and rekindled interest in enjoying a satisfying, rewarding "life after divorce."
